The bustle of the wake house

Having the privilege of visiting the Holland wake house just leaves me too angry to write anything more on this appalling murder. Anger is perhaps the most useless of emotions at this time and my own inadequacy is only heightened when I witness the dignity of Pauline Holland which shines through in this interview.

Perhaps, until our anger subsides, we should retreat again to the shelter of Emily Dickinson's The Bustle in a House.

The bustle in a house
The morning after death
Is solemnest of industries
Enacted upon earth, -

The sweeping up the heart,
And putting love away
We shall not want to use again
Until eternity.

Thanks Mairtin for sharing this. This is a testament of the good people of West Belfast. Our heart felt sympathies to Mrs Pauline Holland and all who feel the gain from knowing such a man.
